WWE to hold another Superstar Shake-Up after SummerSlam?

$

0

According to a report from the Wrestling Observer (via SE Scoops) there is current discussion within the WWE of holding another Superstar Shake-Up sometime after this year’s SummerSlam.

WWE re-launched their brand split and Draft last July but introduced a Superstar Shake-Up earlier this year that saw Alexa Bliss, Maryse and Mickie James join the Raw brand while Charlotte Flair, Lana and Tamina joined the SmackDown brand.

The report adds that there has also been talk of sending one or more Superstars from the main roster to NXT. The talents WWE would send to NXT would be for wrestlers who previously had success in NXT but aren’t currently doing much on the main roster.

What are your thoughts on a potential Superstar Shake-Up happening again? Who would you like to see on Raw and SmackDown? Do you think any female Superstars will be sent back to NXT? Let us know in the comments below!

Tonight on GFW Impact, GFW Knockouts Champion Sienna defends her title against Rosemary in a Last Knockout Standing match.

Read ImpactWrestling.com’s preview to tonight’s title match below:

“It isn’t a match that you see often. It is grueling, shortens careers and grinds on your body. It is whispered about in the locker room, but isn’t a match that anyone looks forward to competing in, against anyone. The point of Last Knockouts Standing is to incapacitate your opponent to the point where they cannot answer the 10 count. Thursday night we will witness Rosemary challenge Sienna for The Unified Knockouts Championship in Last Knockouts Standing rules. Karen Jarrett made the match official when the Knockouts were all in the ring and chaos reigned supreme. Now the question remains, who is the most dominate Knockout? Who will outlast and dig deep? Rosemary has been in this situation before against Jade and Sienna has, perhaps, more power than any other Knockout in history. However, come Thursday night, something has to give.”

Tune in to GFW Impact tonight at 8pm ET on POP TV!.

Today in History: Brie Bella challenges Stephanie McMahon to a match at SummerSlam

On this day in history:

July 28th, 2014 | After quitting the WWE, getting Stephanie McMahon arrested and threatening a lawsuit against her, Brie Bella was in the perfect position to get exactly what she wanted: a match between the two at SummerSlam. Brie promised to drop all charges if she got the match, and Stephanie agreed, tearfully accepting the terms. Suddenly, though, the Million Dollar Princess reared her vengeful head, slapping Brie and promising to make her her “bitch”. One vicious brawl later, the match was all but official.

On this day in history:

July 29th, 2002 | While serving as Raw’s General Manager, Eric Bischoff went through a phase in which got his kicks by having his heavies 3 Minute Warning attack unsuspecting victims. One night during that phase, the legendary Fabulous Moolah appeared to promote her new autobiography, her friend Mae Young by her side. Bischoff interrupted the in-ring segment to tell them that they weren’t entertaining him. Rosey and Jamal appeared then, attacking the two women. Mae easily got the worst of the situation, taking a top rope splash. It was shocking and vulgar – but ultimately impressive – to see women at their age take those kind of bumps. Whether or not they should have is another discussion.

GFW Impact Write-Up (July 27th, 2017): Sienna leaves Rosemary down for the count

Hola Knockout fans and welcome to this week’s GFW Impact Write-Up. The GFW Knockouts Champion Sienna has hands full this week as she defends her title against Rosemary in a Last Knockout Standing match! Finally we’ve swapped out of those idle squash matches! Thanks again Mrs. Jarrett.

Even though Rosemary is now fighting on the side of good, she still knows how to make an intense entrance, sporting a new hooded cape and mask for this match! Long live the Hive Queen!

Sienna comes out next and is accompanied by her cousin KM. The champion sets foot to the ring apron but is met with a big boot by Rosemary before she can make a full entrance. Rosemary sends the champion headfirst to two turnbuckles and then takes her down with a suplex.

Rosemary decides to head out of the ring in search of a table that she carefully sets up against a ring corner. With the table in place, Rosemary turns her attention back to Sienna and whips her to the tabled corner but Sienna is able to reverse, avoiding any crash.

Sienna jabs away at Rosemary and connects a Samoan Drop that begins to leave Rosemary down for a count of seven. Sienna uses this time to slide out of the ring where she sets up a table at a corner on the outside.

Chairs are brought in the match next, courtesy of Sienna. Rosemary manages to grab one of the them and uses it to defend herself against Sienna, who happens to re-enter the ring with a chair of her own.

After the swinging chair stalemate causes both Knockouts to drop their weapons, the action spills to the outside and into the Impact Zone crowd! Rosemary rails Sienna’s face through a fenced gate and then applies a tarantula hold. Hey, its all legal right? Even if Sienna decides to tap out. The crowd is fully behind Rosemary as we head to a break.

When we return, Rosemary remains on the hunt as the Knockouts make their way back to the six sided ring. Sienna wins back control of the match after taking out Rosemary with a big clothesline and then maneuvering the challenger to the ring apron to hit the AK47 that causes Rosemary to crash to the outside ring! Ouch!

Rosemary is able to pull through and get to her feet before acting referee Brian Stifler’s ten count. Sienna tries to put Rosemary down with her Silencer finisher but Rosemary counters out by hitting Sienna with a chair! Rosemary isn’t finish as she goes on to hit Sienna with the Red Wedding onto the chair! The impact lays out both women but Rosemary is able to get to her feet. Sienna does so as well after an interfering KM enters the ring to help his cousin get back up.

Rosemary slides to the outside in search for another weapon from under the ring. She finds a trash can places it against Sienna, who is recuperating against the table corner. Rosemary climbs the top rope of a turnbuckle but KM interferes again when he jumps to the ring apron.

Rosemary is able to rid of him with a green mist but the small distraction allows for Sienna to get up, throw the trash can to Rosemary and send her crashing to the table that was set up earlier outside of the ring. Sienna rolls out of the ring to her feet, barely making it to the ten count while Rosemary stays down defeated. Sienna retains the GFW Knockouts title!

Check out both Rosemary and Sienna’s reaction to their Last Knockout Standing match during Impact’s Last Word feature.

Karen Jarrett also commented on the match and noted that there will be repercussions for KM’s interference next week.

In other Knockouts related segments, Grado and Joseph Parks continue their scheme of having Grado propose to Laurel Van Ness in an attempt to avoid deportation.

Grade heads to the ring in all suited up in a less than stellar orange tux. He invites Laurel to the ring and out comes out the broken bride much to Sienna’s objection.

Grade compliments Laurel on her beauty, talent and their ‘connection’. With all that said, he pops the question. Out of nowhere, we spy Allie on the ring apron and cheering on the idea of another potential wedding for Laurel. One person who isn’t psyched on of this is Laurel’s ex-fiancee Braxton Sutter.

He grabs Allie away and the two head backstage. Hmm, is there trouble in paradise for Allie and Braxton? Laurel never gets to officially respond to Grado’s proposal as Kongo Kong interrupts. As with last time, the Fury Beast chases away Grado and it looks like its back to square one for the ‘Keep Grado in America’ project.

Thoughts: While I can’t say this was my favorite Last Knockout Standing match, I did enjoy it overall. It was a physical match-up that had the crowd’s attention, incorporated weapons/spots, brought the GFW Knockouts title to the forefront and was such a relief to have after weeks of short/squash Knockouts matches.

KM’s interference made it feel like a two-on-one affair during key points of the match but wasn’t an overkill that completely took away from the women. Sienna has now overcome Karen’s obstacle twice, here and back at Slammiversary, which can now only feed more into Sienna’s ego. Will she continue to prove Karen wrong and earn the respect she has been asking for?

The Grado/Laurel/Kongo Kong affair was a repetitive scenario from last week. While I think the happy Allie appearance was random, I am more interested in seeing some kind of back story towards Braxton’s semi-heel attitude. Will he turn on Allie causing her to break away and be more of an active wrestler within the Knockouts division? Will Allie turn heel as well? Let the speculation begin.

What did you think of this week’s episode of GFW Impact? Were you bothered by KM’s involvement in the Last Knockout Standing match? Are you enjoying the Grado/Laurel storyline? Let us know in the comments below!

On this day in history:

July 31st, 2000 | Things were a bit awkward between Trish Stratus and Triple H, so they probably weren’t thrilled to be made partners in a main event match on Raw, facing the team of Lita and The Rock. Unsurprisingly, Lita and The Rock had better team chemistry, and won the match after Lita landed a long distance moonsault on Trish. Afterwards, insult was added to Trish’s injury when The Rock hit Triple H with a chair and caused him to collapse on top of Trish in a position that would’ve been a lot compromising if they both weren’t seeing stars.

It came down to the Bellas and Beth, and the Glamazon managed to eliminate both twins at once become the new number one contender. RAW Redux (July 31st, 2017): ‘Bay’ja-vu as the Hugger overcomes ‘Team Rude’

The ‘Biggest Party of the Summer’ Summerslam is on our door step and last week saw the battle lines come clear after weeks of chaos in the RAW women’s division. We saw BFFs Sasha Banks and Bayley go toe to toe, with ‘The Huggable One’ getting the win over her friend. So now, what was in store this week as the action heats up this Summer!

Backstage, Charly Caruso catches up with RAW Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss, who asks her about her thoughts on Bayley becoming her opponent at Summerslam. Alexa is quick to give Charly a history lesson – recalling how she defeated Bayley at both Payback and Extreme Rules, she even admits that she thought Sasha would beat her! Alexa is even more confident because she knows that Sasha is away on a promo tour, announcing that Bayley will be taking on Alexa’s strong ally Nia Jax.

This week’s match follows much of the same rhetoric of their previous encounters. Nia Jax is out to set destruction, but Bayley is the ever stubborn competitor that won’t stay down for the 3 count. Nia tends to dominate throughout, at one point she tosses Bayley out the ring and mocks her side ponytail. She even executes a sweet chicken-wing drop on Bayley which gives shades to Jazz and Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix.

The end of the match sees Bayley finally gaining enough speed to knock Nia out of the ring from the apron. Bayley leaps onto Nai to take her out with a crossbody, as the referee begins the count out. While Bayley gets to her feet, she ends up thwarting a sneak attack by Alexa Bliss! However, the distraction allows Nia to get to her feet and she grabs Bayley by the hair and throws her into the ring barricade. She then turns to charge at Bayley, who jumps out the way and into the ring while Nia ends up going full speed into the ring steps.

The referee counts 10 and Nia Jax is counted out, the winner is Bayley! While Bayley celebrates, Alexa tries to sneak her one more time, but Bayley manages to escape and enjoy her victory. Meanwhile, the dangerous pairing of Alexa and Nia look on in anger.

Elsewhere, on RAW’s Fallout we saw Dana Brooke having a word with Titus O’Neil who addresses her tweets to join Titus Worldwide. He tells her that she needs to find herself and that she needs to be ‘country strong’… what that means, who knows?

Thoughts: Another 3rd hour 10 minute slot for the women, how sad that the women have taken such a back seat over the last couple of months on RAW. It really says a lot that the SmackDown division has managed to maintain a healthy credible booking for their division, but RAW just continues to slowly regress. What makes it worse is that this was the exact same format as Sasha Banks VS Nia Jax pre-Great Balls of Fire… how lazy.

As you all know, I’m not the biggest Nia fan but I actually feel sorry for her. She’s the big dominant girl, but she barely wins anything and has hardly any credibility any more aside from her size… which still doesn’t say much. She is slowly doing more and more moves, but how many times is she going to rotate losses between Sasha Banks and Bayley to put both of them over… then the cycle continues because how many times can she then try regain credibility by squashing everyone else in the division?

The duo of Alexa and Nia is really being overlooked here too, there’s the potential of a really strong and fun alliance here. Both women should be in segments more often, both of them are generally booked evenly and their characters are so different that there’s a lot of magic there. Plus, the fact that they’re friends in real life would really help to bring that pairing to life. Instead, we’re stuck with the constant ‘are they friends, are they enemies’ relationship.

Moving forward, the WWE are clearly cautious with the feud here because it really bombed the last time they did it. They’ve still yet to factor a story, but I think it’s pretty obvious that the numbers game and Sasha Banks’ involvement will prove to be pivotal over the next couple of weeks.

How are you feeling about this week’s match? Do you think the women should have got more time? You know what to do in the comments section!

As seen on this week’s Monday Night Raw, Bayley defeated Nia Jax via count out. Since them, there has been speculation that Bayley suffered a right shoulder injury during the match.

WWE.com is now announcing  that Bayley did suffer an injury and that her upcoming Raw Women’s Title match at SummerSlam against Alexa Bliss is in jeopardy.

Read WWE.com’s full announcement below:

“During her match with Nia Jax on the July 31 edition of Raw, Bayley suffered an injury to her right shoulder. The former Raw Women’s Champion was evaluated by medical personnel, but the official diagnosis was inconclusive due to the amount of swelling involved. Bayley has been told to rest the shoulder until next week, at which point doctors are hopeful that the swelling will have sufficiently gone down so that she may be reevaluated and a firm verdict can be reached. ‘Everything just tensed up around it,’ Bayley told WWE.com shortly after her match on Monday night. ‘I’ve never had an injury like this before, so I can’t really know what it is. I guess we’re gonna see.’ Dr. Chris Amann told WWE.com, ‘We’ve determined the injury is shoulder-related, and she will be going under further diagnostic testing later this week to determine the extent of the injury and also establish a timetable for recovery.’ Check back with WWE.com for more details on Bayley’s injury as they become available.”

SmackDown Redux (August 1st, 2017): A lot of Glow and Fire

Happy August SmackDown fans and welcome to this week’s SmackDown Redux! Josue here as our usual SmackDown correspondent Abir will be taking some time off these next few weeks. Let us all enjoy and make the most of this last month of the summer season! On this week’s SmackDown, the SmackDown Women’s Champion Naomi teams up with Becky Lynch to take on the team of Natalya and Carmella. Let’s watch how the semi-SummerSlam showdown unfolds.

Before we get to our scheduled tag match, we catch up with Mike and Maria Kanellis. The residential “Power of Love” couple makes their presence felt following Aiden English’s, surprise, win over Sami Zayn to confess the only thing they love more than each other is seeing Sami lose! And that one liner is pretty much all we get from the Kanellis’.

We move on to our tag match and the heels are already in the ring awaiting their opponents. Becky makes her entrance but boy do I miss the smoke that came with her entrance! Naomi makes her signature Feel the Glow entrance next and with all our competitors now in the ring, we’re ready to get things started with Becky and Natalya.

Becky traps Natalya to into an early armbar but Natalya finds relief by running to the ropes to break the hold. Becky stays in control with a kick to midsection and taking Natalya down with a drop toe hold. Becky takes Natalya to Naomi’s corner where a tag is made along with some team work: Becky landing a running forearm while Naomi provides a big leg drop on Natalya for a two count.

Natalya calls for an unofficial time out, which is used as an excuse to make a tag to Carmella. Naomi dodges a clothesline and kicks away at Carmella. Ms. Money in Bank puts a stop to the kicks by catching one of them and then slapping Naomi across the face but Naomi responds with a dropkick. Naomi then returns the favor with a slide-in slap to Carmella.

Natalya distracts Naomi from the ring apron, which allows for Carmella to regroup herself and make a tag. The heels toss Naomi headfirst to the mat then target her legs before Natalya goes for the cover for a two-count.

Natalya switches gears by slowing down Naomi with a sleeper hold and then following up with the Sharp Shooter! The SmackDown Women’s Champion endures the submission and is eventually able to crawl her way to the bottom ropes for a much needed rope break.

In the midst of the rope break, Carmella tags back in the match and immediately locks in her Code of Silence submission on Naomi. Naomi reverses this to a submission of her own, prompting Natalya to run-in to make the save but Becky neutralizes her with a Bex-Plex.

Left alone, Carmella taps out awarding Team Glow Fire with the win!

Next week, Carmella gets a chance to get even with Naomi in a ONE-ON-ONE match-up! Hoorah for the singles match-up again. Hoorah for the singles competition!

During SmackDown’s Fallout, we also find out that next week, Lana will challenge Charlotte Flair to a match – all in an attempt to make up amends with Tamina for costing them their tag team match last week. Will Charlotte accept?

Thoughts: This tag match was pretty short and sweet; nothing completely terrible (or memorable) but there was also almost no story progression here. With SummerSlam considered one of the ‘Big 4 PPVs’ and the chance of seeing a fresh feud between Naomi/Natalya, I’d like to see these two be given more interaction with one another, much like the backstage promo we saw last week with each Superstar declaring why they’re more worthy of holding on to the SmackDown Women’s Championship.

Having followed and covered Mike and Maria’s run with Impact/GFW all of last year, I do have to admit that their current stint with WWE right now just feels stale right now. They’ve been running the same line since their debut and this Sami Zayn feud isn’t doing any favors to anyone in this feud so far.

The Lana/Tamina interaction was interesting as Lana had no problem acknowledging that she was (and still is) the weak link; something she has never truly admitted to before. Tamina’s facial expressions as Lana explained her aspirations to be a more ‘ravishing’ version of her were hilarious! While I do still wonder where WWE are taking this pairing of Tamina/Lana, pushing Lana into these big matches is risky given how fans have reacted to her matches so far. She just isn’t ready to compete full-time so I don’t see Lana getting over Charlotte, even through any help from Tamina. I am however interested in seeing how Charlotte will respond, given her already feelings towards Lana.

If the rumors are true of some main roster Superstars heading to NXT after SummerSlam, Lana is one name that should certainly be considered. I think Lana certainly has potential to be a Superstar in the Women’s division but as with anything, it takes time and investment.

What did you think of this week’s episode of SmackDown? Where do you see the Tamina/Lana allegiance going? What do you think will happen on next week’s show? Let us know in the comments below!

August 3rd, 2000 | A few days prior, Triple H lost both his match and a good deal of dignity, so he had a lot to gain back when he teamed with his wife Stephanie McMahon and Kurt Angle. Again he was facing Lita, who this time was teaming up with the Dudley Boyz. Stephanie managed to escape being both tabled by the Dudleyz (twice) and moonsaulted by Lita, and was able to cover Lita for the win after Triple H hit her with a Pedigree. Stephanie and Kurt’s enthusiastic celebration post-match had HHH fuming, his dignity levels still in the negative.

Gail Kim reveals her most cherished moment in wrestling

Six time Knockouts Champion Gail Kim recently spoke with Sean “X-Pac” Waltman as part of Afterbuzz TV’s X-Pac 12360 to discuss first starting out in the wrestling business, her Impact Wrestling Hall of Fame Ceremony, her most cherished moments and thoughts on WWE’s Mae Young Classic tournament. Highlights of the interview below.

Training with Fit Finlay: “Whenever people ask me who were my influences or who helped me the most in this business Fit was always one of them. The way he always contributed to who I am today is [through] the aggressiveness. He brought out the aggressiveness out of the girls. When I first started and I was so green, he would say ‘No, you need to be more aggressive’ and so I’d go out there and I’d be more aggressive. Then I’d come back and he’s like ‘No, more aggressive’ and I think he said that maybe three matches in a row until I’m literally safely being very aggressive towards these girls, kind of laying it in. I’ve kept that with me to this day and I try to pass that on to the girls that are coming into the company that work with me.”

First working with Jackie Moore: “Jeff [Jarrett] said ‘Do you think you can work Jackie Moore?’ and I was like ‘Absolutely! I’ll work anyone you got’. Jackie came in and they loved it because you know Jackie, she’ll beat any guy’s ass. She is legitimately, and I’ve wrestled some really strong big girls, the strongest girl I’ve ever been in the ring with. I have to tell this story, which a lot of fans kind of know if they watched back then but we had a street fight one time. Jim Cornette was our agent and was like ‘Have you ever done the Piñata spot?’. You know, with the garbage can over the head and you swing away with the broomstick. I said ‘No’ and he kind of explained it but he didn’t tell me which way to swing, you’re suppose to look at the feet and all that. So I didn’t and I was swung away and I knocked out her two front teeth. We taped another show where she was part of another segment, she says ‘Does anyone have any sugarless gum?’. She chewed it, stuck it up in the space and went back out there, I was like ‘Bless this girl.’

On her Hall of Fame induction ceremony
: “They gave me the choice of who I wanted to induct me and it was really a hard decision. I wanted it to be someone female, I think it was a great choice to have the three of them [Christy Hemme, Taryn Terrell and Awesome Kong] because Christy is my best friend in wrestling. I’m the godmother to her child. Then Taryn and Kong were two of my greatest rivalries throughout my career so I just wanted all of them to say a little something. It was great moment for me to have them there, I was really happy.”

Molly Holly helping create an opportunity for her: “She was always different from everyone else. She’s the one who created my opportunity in the business and gave my pictures and my videos back then to the office to get my tryout. She was always so giving and such a kind soul for back then when nobody was giving. I felt like it was more of a selfish business. I was like what other girl is going to say to you ‘Hey, let me try to help you out’. She is one of the people that I always try to model my morale after because I just felt like I want to be that same way and be giving.”

On the success behind her feuds with Awesome Kong and Taryn: “It was a long storyline. They built both of those storylines over the course of six months and now I feel like people rush storylines and it doesn’t last that long. They build to the next PPV which is the next month and its not enough time I feel for the fans to get invested and get emotionally attached. I feel like with both of those, they were built slow and right so that’s a big part of the reason why.”

Most cherished moment in wrestling: “I have a couple but I think what will come to mind is being the first TNA Knockouts Champion. We fought for it for so long and I just kept saying ‘I want to wrestle, I want to wrestle’ so it was like the payoff to what I worked so hard for all that time begged for all that time. So that will probably be the top moment.”

Thoughts on the Mae Young Classic: “I love that they’re doing this. I’m excited to watch it because there’s a lot of girls in that tournament that I like and feel that are talented and that I’ve come across in some way or another. Met, wrestled or whatever it is. I’m so happy for them, I think thats its a great opportunity to be seen just beyond the independent scene and hopefully some will get contracts out of it.”

Busted Open on SiriusXM spoke with Paige and Alberto El Patron in their first interview since their Orlando airport incident. Read PWInsider’s recap of the couple’s interview below, where Paige also reveals she is looking to make a WWE return!

Paige said they are laughing about the situation now, but the situation was a media nightmare for them and their family. Paige said they argue like a normal couple but since they are under the media spotlight, it was presented like it was a massacre. She said they are waiting for the official report to come out so people can see what really happen. Paige admitted they shouldn’t argue in public, but they are a couple and can’t shy away from living. She joked that sometimes they say mean things when they fight.

Alberto said that she’s a beautiful girl from England and he’s a handsome guy from Mexico and they don’t want to be celebrity types who live locked in their houses. Patron said that even the Sergeant in Orlando told them it was nothing. Alberto said they argued like a normal couple and it was a bad day and the Internet told a bunch of lies. They have been waiting for the official report to come out because today, it doesn’t matter what you say, because the Internet will say what they want. He said that they have strong personalities and they go all the way, whether they are loving or fighting, they go all the way. He described them as “passionate people.” He said it was just them being angry and saying things they don’t really feel and “they” decided to make it a big deal.

Patron said they have short tempers and sometimes they get into a fight for 20 minutes and tell each other they don’t want to see each other anymore and three minutes later they are fine. He said that there is no one more passionate than they are.

Bully Ray asked them to expand on what were lies and untruths that have been passed on. Paige said there was a story about her being arrested in San Antonio, when she wasn’t even in the Orlando system. She said 90% of the things were wrong.

Paige said that Alberto said something he shouldn’t have said and ended up with a drink over his head. She joked he should have gotten the entire plate of spaghetti on his head. Alberto reiterated he said something mean that he shouldn’t have said it and said it was mean. Patron said he felt humiliated since he was surrounded by people and reacted angrily but three minutes later, the police asked what he wanted to do. Alberto told them nothing so the police let them go and advised them to go their separate ways until they calm down.

Paige said that people shouldn’t do what they did, especially if they are in public. Alberto said sometimes when you argue, things come out and then three minutes later, you are fine. He said that they were refusing to live life like they are celebrities and wanted to live like normal people, but they were in the public eye. He said that he wasn’t saying their behavior wasn’t bad “because it was” but he’s trying to teach his kids to act a certain way and he should have been doing the same in the public eye, with fans or just being out in the public. He said they inspire people from all over the world to be better people and show them that if they dream something, they can accomplish them and see their dreams come real. Paige said that she wants to apologize specifically to the younger fans.

Paige said that they shouldn’t have acted the way they did. PaGn said that she can apologize, but he’s not going to do that – he’s just going to act the way they should be acting in public. He said that if anyone was offended, that was not their intention and they are going to move forward.

Bully said that they are saying everything is great, but Paige’s family has stated they are very concerned about her well being. Paige said that she loves her family but some of the media stuff is scary to look at and they are reacting to those stories.

Paige said her family is doing well with the exception of her Uncle, who passed away yesterday. Patron said that their families found out about everything via social media and the Internet and that’s not nice. He said that they didn’t really know what was going on until they spoke with them. They are concerned someone was arrested. Patron said his family stays away from social media and the Internet so when they hear something, they wait and call them to see what was going on. Paige’s family believed the Internet BS and reacted accordingly.

Patron said they were waiting for the official report because it doesn’t matter what you say until that report comes out. Paige came out and said what happened publicly and everyone reacted as if that wasn’t the truth. He said the “almighty Internet” reacted and will react until the authorities put out an official report.

Bully brought up that Patron has not been charged and is “totally free and cleared” and asked him if he was still suspended by GFW. Patron said they are trying to do things differently from how they are usually done in pro wrestling. Patron said that rules should apply to everyone. In Combate Americas, he was always pushing for fines if fighters didn’t make weight or weren’t ready for fights. GFW needed to conduct their own investigation and he understands that. He said he was OK with the suspension and everything is “clear with the company” and he “gets to go back to work soon.” Patron said that he doesn’t know when that will be because he’s been wrestling in Mexico but he’ll be back soon.

Paige also noted that she would be returning to WWE soon. She said that she had a CT scan earlier today. She said she can’t wait to back to work as she had her surgery last October. She said she’s ready to go back and see the other women. She’s excited to see all the new women, naming Bayley, Alexa Bliss and Nia Jax and said that she was so happy Naomi was champion right now.

Patron was asked if he would be at the GFW events this weekend. Patron said that wouldn’t happen as they set a date for the suspension to be lifted and they all agreed they would be OK with the suspension because you should be treated the same way no matter where in the card you are. Patron said he would be back with GFW “very soon.” Patron said an announcement would be made as soon as he is in touch with his bosses.

Bully asked them if they were genuinely happy to be together and if they saw this relationship lasting. Paige said he can be an a-hole but he’s her a-hole. Patron said that they want to be together and you never know what will happen in the future, but they’ve been working to make it work for over a year in this relationship. Whether they are supported by others or not, they are together and happy.

Patron said something bad happens and people ignore the good and forget about it. He said that Paige has been helping him and taking care of his kids from day one. When he left WWE and when she went through neck surgery, they were there for each other. Paige goes everywhere with him to support him. They bring positive things to each others’ lives. One bad thing on the Internet and social media makes everything else forgotten.
