On this day in history:
September 2nd, 2002 | By the looks on their faces, one could tell that Stacy Keibler and Terri Runnels were less than honored to compete in what Eric Bischoff proclaimed to be the first-ever Lingerie Pillow Fight match. Jerry Lawler, known feminist and cool-headed supporter of women’s wrestling (see what we did there?), served as referee, just in case they didn’t feel uncomfortable enough. The match was as expected: awkward, and with its mood lighting and dual commentator/referee, it served as proof that silly T&A matches aren’t always crowd pleasers. Terri got the victory but Stacy got the last laugh, hitting Terri with a pillow she loaded with a clock before tarring and feathering her. Terri may have won the match, but we think Stacy won the pillow fight.
