On this day in history:

January 8th, 2006 | A lengthy, one-sided infatuation with Women’s Champion Trish Stratus led Mickie James to a title shot at 2006’s New Year’s Revolution. She took it to be friendly competition, but Trish was all business, perhaps hoping to snap Mickie out of her obsession. Unfortunately for her, though, the match only worsened it – Mickie seemed to get a perverse satisfaction out of performing Trish’s moves on her. In the end, Trish won the match with a Chick Kick, retaining her title and leaving a hurt (both physically and emotionally) Mickie behind her.

What are your memories of this moment?
