September 20th, 2004 | The first official season of the Diva Search competition came down to Christy Hemme and Carmella DeCesare. Jonathan Coachman was ready to announce the winner when Women’s Champion Trish Stratus came to the ring to “congratulate” the finalists. She made suggestions for how the winner could spend her $250,000 prize – Christy buying decaf coffee, Carmella buying a personality – and invited the winner to an “initiation ceremony” the next week. Finally, Christy was announced the first Diva Search champion, and the fiery redhead bounced around the ring, $250,000 richer.
