On this day in history:
August 22nd, 1999 | 1999′s SummerSlam saw Women’s Champion Ivory put her title on the line against Tori. This was in the early of their feud – before their historic Hardcore match – so this bout didn’t have the fire of the encounters to come. In fact, the match ended with a whimper, Ivory pinning Tori after merely sitting on her and knocking the back of her head against the mat. Ivory retained her title, but Tori was far from finished with the champ.
