On this day in history:
June 12th, 2000 | Stephanie McMahon was doing a pretty good job of avoiding directly facing Lita, the main challenger for her Women’s Title. So, when a match was made with the stipulation that any interference for Stephanie would earn Lita the belt, she had plenty of reason to worry. At the start of the match, it seemed that Lita had victory well within her grasp, but some well-timed referee distraction allowed Kurt Angle to show up and hit Lita with the Olympic Slam. Stephanie pinned Lita, and once again retained her title in questionable fashion.
