On this day in history:
June 4th, 2002 | Trish Stratus, a few weeks into her second run as Women’s Champion, put her title on the line against Terri Runnels in a Lingerie match. The Divas did their best to give the match integrity that would befit the championship, Terri even venturing to the top rope to deliver a crossbody. In the end, Trish would hit a bulldog to secure the win and retain her title. She wasn’t home free, though: Molly Holly would try to ambush her after the match, Trish telegraphing the attack and taking out Molly with the Women’s Title. To add insult to injury, Trish removed a layer of underwear, leaving it as a souvenir for the virtuous Molly.
